Gé means change: water and fire alternate; two forces coexist but their intentions do not align—this is called Revolution.
“On this day one is sincere”—change is met with trust.
Civilization flourishes with delight; great success comes through correctness.
When change is timely and proper, regret disappears.
Heaven and Earth transform, and the four seasons are completed.
The revolutions of Tang and Wu

How great indeed is the principle of timely change!
